We made it to March! I can't believe we only have 3 more months of school left. Time flies when you're having fun! We have made so much progress this year so far. I hope you are seeing as much growth at home as we are in class. We started time this week. Please continue to practice time to the hour and since most students with time to the hour, we have been working on time to the half hour. Do not forget to read each night and practice your sight words. Thanks for all of your support!
Happy February! Please check out our
monthly newsletter under files and documents. Also, we will be sending home a note about Valentine's. We have 24 students in the classroom. We will be exchanging valentine's. Please have your child write their name on the valentine cards, but not specific student's names. This way students can just hand out their valentine's to each student, We will be making valentine bags in class, but feel free to bring one in if you would like to from home.
Lastly, unless we get any snow, the 100th day of school is next Friday, February 10th! Feel free to decorate a shirt with 100 things, or draw 100 things on it to wear that day. No worries if you don't, we will be making hats and doing other fun 100th day activities. Thank you again for your continued support.
Happy 2017! I hope you and your families had a wonderful break. Please see our monthly newsletters under the newsletter file. Only 5 more months of school left, I can't believe it! Some students have already reached some of the Kindergarten goals, so we will keep on moving!
Please continue to practice having your child write their first and last name correctly with uppercase letters, counting to 100, writing and identify numbers to 15 correctly, and continue reading each night. Students must be reading on a level 4 to be ready for 1st grade. If your child received a consistent on their interim, they are where they need to be at this time with their reading and are making good progress. Thank you again for all of your support!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Please remember to complete your doll project. We can't wait to share them. The past and present baby pictures were so much fun. The kids enjoyed guessing who was who. If you have not sent one in yet, please send in a pencil box for your child so we can put their supplies in them. Thank you again for all of your support. Please continue to read and practice sight words daily. Thank you!
