Welcome to our New KWES Administrative Intern for SY 26-27!
Hello Sea Lions! My name is Candice Wade, and I am excited and honored to join the Kyle Wilson Elementary community as your Administrative Intern for the 2026–27 school year.
With over 20 years in education, I am passionate about supporting students, staff, and families while fostering meaningful engagement and high-quality instruction. I began my career as an elementary classroom teacher in Bedford County, VA, and have taught in Missouri, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. For the past 11 years, I have served as the English Learner Lead Teacher at Piney Branch Elementary School in Prince William County Schools. I hold a B.S. in Communication, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and endorsements in Elementary Education, ESL, and Educational Leadership. My experiences as a classroom teacher, EL teacher, special education co-teacher, and parent educator have shaped my belief in the importance of fostering a positive, supportive environment where all students and educators can grow and thrive.
As your new Administrative Intern, my goal is to ensure every student and staff member feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their highest potential. This includes supporting and collaborating with teachers and staff to provide meaningful learning experiences that drive academic success, nurture students’ well-being, and keep learning engaging and fun. My favorite part of being an educator is getting to know students and families, and watching students grow academically and personally. I enjoy creating and facilitating family engagement where families feel welcomed, valued, and part of the team in supporting their child’s learning and school experience.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with my husband, two sons, two dogs, and extended family. I enjoy going to concerts, and my favorite place to relax is at Smith Mountain Lake.
I look forward to meeting everyone in the Wilson community and working alongside Mrs. Libby, Mrs. Boles, and Mrs. Sims to continue the school vision already in place. Together, we will embrace diversity, nurture, and guide our students as they grow into the future heroes our world needs.
Sincerely,
Candice Wade, M.Ed.
